Christ in You, The Hope of Glory

“To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:27

We live in a world full of despairs, discouragements, and disappointments. Life seems unfair because the poor seem to be getting poorer and the rich getting richer. The hopes of many are being shattered daily, and it seems like there is no future. Several people are frustrated for taking one step forward and ten steps backward.

The good news is, no matter how unpleasant life could be, there is hope in Christ Jesus. You might have wandered in the market square of life, running from pillar to post like a man without directions and a sheep without a shepherd, Jesus is more than able to make your life meaningful and give you directions.

Is your life broken, and the hope of mending it is shattered? There is a God who can fix the broken pieces of your life and turn you into a mysterious wonder. For Christ in you is the hope of glory.

Hannah was ridiculed and insulted for being childless. Her rival provoked her till she wept and would not eat (1 Samuel 1:7). Are you going through a similar situation? Are you being mocked because of what you don’t have? Are you constantly weeping over the challenges of life? There is a God who turns things around. He turned the story of Hannah around and gave her a new song. Just as Hannah sings, “My heart rejoices in the LORD; My horn is exalted in the LORD. I smile at my enemies, Because I rejoice in Your salvation” (1 Samuel 2:1), it is your turn to sing and rejoice in the Lord. We serve an all-powerful God, “He raises the poor from the dust And lifts the beggar from the ash heap, To set them among princes And make them inherit the throne of glory. “For the pillars of the earth are the LORD’s, And He has set the world upon them” (I Samuel 2:8). If you can connect to this God, He will lift you up and turn things around in your favor; He will change your story and give you a new name; He will become your strength and make your feet like deer’s feet, he will enable you to walk on your high places (Habakkuk 3:19).

That’s why the word of God says, “For there is hope for a tree, If it is cut down, that it will sprout again, And that its tender shoots will not cease. Though its root may grow old in the earth, And its stump may die in the ground, Yet at the scent of water it will bud And bring forth branches like a plant.” Job 14:7-9

Jesus is the living water. If you connect to Him, he will make you fruitful and bring hope to every hopeless situation. The destiny of anyone connected to Jesus is unpredictable by humans. He can do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask or think (Eph 3:20). Connect to Jesus today and let do what humans cannot do. His glory will radiate your life, FOR CHRIST IN YOU IS THE HOPE OF GLORY.
